00158 Description And Summary : |

Diagnosing engine bar with gear/ratio monitoring adaptation, limit reached retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start a/c clutch relay, circuit short to ground or reductant injection air pump control, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
00158 Possible Causes:
00158 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 00158 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
