Staring in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448), low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor relays for large amount of heat (j360), short-circuit after pluses . On the other hand oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit is the final reason of the code. |
00142 Possible Causes:
00142 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 00142 Code
- Inspect all the connections crankshaft position signal output, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
