Accumulated in electronic control units so kick-down switches (f8) implausible signal it can suddenly lead to a significantly more oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, short to b+ or change exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, no activity is the final reason of the code. |
00142 Possible Causes:
00142 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00142 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
