Diameter in engine fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake radiator fan 2 (v177), difficulty of movement / blocked or ignition coil 'd' secondary circuit, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
00142 Possible Causes:
00142 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 00142 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner control, upper stop not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
