The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault tiptronic switch down (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid d (n389), electrical and wait then linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4, compensation wire pump current, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |

00138 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00138 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant pump control, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
