This something to do with the intake camshaft timing oxygen (lambda) sensor b4 s1, heater return coupling retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, short to b+ or linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / common ground wire, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
00124 Possible Causes:
00124 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 00124 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly rich
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
