When you open direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor circuit it can suddenly lead to a significantly more load signal, error message from ecu or change linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
00118 Possible Causes:
00118 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00118 Code
- Inspect all the connections injector cylinder 16 (n393), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
