00078 Description And Summary : |

When you open bank 1, system too rich at idle It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake exhaust bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor signal, implausibly lean or system too lean at higher load, bank 1 is the final reason of the code. |
00078 Possible Causes:
00078 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 00078 Code
- Inspect all the connections starter activation, return message terminal 50, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
