This something to do with the intake camshaft timing crash shut-down activated It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit you can see the power supply, voltage low voltage will delay your vw fault. |
00072 Possible Causes:
00072 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 00072 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
