00042 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit intermittent bank 2 it can suddenly lead to a significantly more engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit low and valve for intake manifold flap (n239), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
00042 Possible Causes:
00042 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 00042 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake flap motor 2 (v275), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
