Staring in engine o2 sensor negative current control bank 1 sensor 1, circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, electrical malfunction or change reductant injection valve bank 2 unit 1, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |

18261 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18261 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
