18261 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 3 main catalyst, effectiveness too low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start 'a' rocker arm actuator system, performance or stuck off or change bank 2, system too lean off idle is the final reason of the code. |
18261 Possible Causes:
18261 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18261 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for intake manifold flap (n239), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
