The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault nox sensor heater sense bank 2, circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, signal shorted to heater circuit also data-bus powertrain, implausible message from engine controller will delay your vw fault. |
02197 Possible Causes:
02197 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 02197 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant circulation pump relay (j151), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
